Biography.

Andy Carrington (alias 'Ataraxia', or 'Surpass-A' to some) was born in Pontefract, West Yorkshire in 1983 and educated at Wakefield College and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he gained a 2.1 in English Literature and Creative Writing. He has been the feature of various monthly and quarterly poetry magazines. His work has also been included in two poetry anthologies: one of which was compiled to raise money for the Prince of Wales Hospice, Pontefract.

In his spare time, he works as a freelance writer: writing poetry and short stories, reviews for music and film, and a variety of other media as a copywriter. He also hosts a creative writing forum, which is an invaluable medium for creative people to share their work and offer critiques; discuss favourite books; and meet like-minded individuals. He too is a keen photographer.

Currently, he is working on his first book 'The Frog': a collection of poetry and philosophy, which seeks to portray the social attitudes towards "normality", and the often parallel individual.
