Gallery: Tattoo Theories.
I regard a tattoo as a physical expression and a personal representation of an individual; a form of artwork and poetry.
My designs tend to be simplistic on the surface, but with a much deeper meaning.

-fate (left shoulder)
Many people view fate as a negative concept of submitting to a predetermined future, rather than being able to exercise individual free will.
I, however, believe that we still have the ability to choose, with fate acting as a "power thought" that pays attention to the needs of the soul by nudging us back on course during times when we are feeling lost. It is a personal guardian that helps one discover their inner abilities and then commit to them. It allows the individual to fulfil their purpose in life and achieve a sense of happiness.

-... and the ink she bleeds" (left upper arm)
Self-mutilating, as a method of clearing the soul of negative energies.

-"We Have Revolutionary Love" (lower left arm)
A symbol for strength. The two L's joined denote individual pathways brought together by love, while the two C's at the beginning and end denote the spiritual presence of the Mother (Colleen Carrington), in whom I trust.

-four devils (left forearm)
I use the term "devil" not necessarily as a representation of evil, but as a psychological reading of human emotion. There are four conflict emotions, which I regard as the four devils: lust, envy, hate and jealousy, and I believe these can be conquered via the wisdom of a level-headed individual.
