Somewhere In-between Misanthropy & Anti-Fascism tells of one man’s bitter struggle with corporate Britain and the people who run it, and soon develops into an overview of racial tensions that are encountered daily on the streets and throughout the workplace.
As well as dealing with his own apathetic nature and prejudicial view of human beings, encountered is unavoidable hatred between races that stems from culture, class, religion and a developing trend of political correctness. It is only through his love for football, music and foreign food that the author soon feels the need to make sense of this, from which he begins wrestling with various right, left and liberalist viewpoints as his political conscience develops.
------------------------------
In Paki Lover, the author attempts to go deeper into understanding the human exploitation and racism he encounters at a grassroots level, as well as within “higher-level" organisations such as the Freemasonry.
As relationships develop and his confidence grows, he begins to challenge ignorant ideas, as well as accept the fact that some people simply aren’t willing to embrace change no matter how much they are persuaded.
Whether expressing himself in an aggressive, disheartening or humorous manner, the realisation that we, as human beings, are not quite so different under the skin, becomes his driving belief in wanting to move forward within his own life, as well as the wider political landscape.
