'Lethal Weapon 4'

The levels of action and comedy go up a few notches with the added talents of Jet Li and Chris Rock in this third sequel. The plot involves a Triad gang selling Chinese immigrants into slavery.

After a cracking opening scene -- which sees Murtaugh distracting a crazed arsonist in his boxers -- the shoots outs and one liners start to come thick and fast.

The charm of the characters is what makes these movies likable, and if you're going to go for humour over action, at least do it right. Lethal Weapon 4 improves upon the disappointing second sequel and stands out as the funniest in the series.

Let's end things on a high note -- please, don't make anymore.
