'From Dusk Till Dawn'

If you've never seen From Dusk Till Dawn, you're in for quite a surprise about a third of the way through. What starts out as a seemingly normally movie soon turns into something completely unexpected that it will swing your opinion towards the extremity of either hatred or love.

Criminals Seth (George Clooney) and Richie Gecko (Quentin Tarantino) are fleeing from Texas after killing a cop and a liquor store owner. Meanwhile, Pastor Harvey Keitel is going on holiday in his RV with his son Scott (Ernest Liu) and daughter Kate (Juliette Lewis). The family are unfortunate enough to end up coming into contact with the two murderers en route, who threaten to take their lives if they refuse to smuggle them past the Mexican border to meet their contact.

As touched upon in the opening paragraph, the film feels like two entirely different movies all rolled into one. At times, it is visually captivating, funny; generally lots of fun; other times, it's corny, sickening -- ultimately annoying.

You might love it, you might hate it. Or, if you're completely awkward, like I am, you'll rate it three stars 'cause you just can't seem to decide either way.
