Critique.

Since this site first opened in April 2008, I have written continuously for the web to express my love for music and film, and to invite others into discussion. This is purely through choice, and to gain a sense of personal satisfaction.

Five stars is my highest rating; zero stars is my lowest. The stars are used to rate films/music albums against one another in their particular genre.

Because I am not a professional critic (i.e. I don't get paid to write within the category of film or music), I prioritise writing reviews/articles mainly on DVDs/CDs that I have enjoyed, rather than those that I found unsatisfactory. Time permits.

Specifically with music, I'm more likely to review independent, up-and-coming artists. So if you have a demo/EP/LP that you would like reviewing, please email me and I'll do my best to give an honest, constructive review. (Singles will also be considered and reviews will depend on the work load that I have at that time.) Be sure to include the genre, release date, label you are on (if any), and length of the tracks that you are submitting in the email; a good-quality, landscape photograph of you/your band will also be helpful.
