Hey , Just read your article. As a Pakistani it is very refreshing to see people like you standing for such a cause as unfortunately Asians/Muslims are getting targetted everywhere. As I worked for the Government Of Pakistan for couple of years I know the In and out of this so called war on terror.I believe my country stood for the right cause as they brought a war which was against US to their own soil and are fighting terrorism.Pakistani`s all around the globe should rather be respected other then being labeld as a terrorist because they realised the event on 9 /11 was absolutely wrong and thus fought this war eventually leading to all of death of our soldiers and civillians.end of the Day we are not terrorist rathers the biggest Victims of terrorism.
Hello,
I have just read your poem An Analysis of Racism in Modern Britain
by an Underclass, Paki-Loving Barkeep.
I found it very interesting and a clever analysis of what is happening in todays' Britain. The racism that we experience today is so subtle that we could pass it off as not being racist.
Yes the irony of it all, in the end is we are all connected and to separate us on the grounds of race is beyond belief. No one is better than anyone else, we are just people and the majority of people, just want to get on and live life in peace. Hate breeds violence and ignorance this is what organisations like the BNP, EDL thrive on..
People need to educate and learn to think for themselves instead of following the crowd.
Keep up the good work, no doubt. Peace
I have read Faith from promiscuity , and Promiscuity from faith II. Just wanted to say that you write with such passion about the issues and also with such realism. I like your description of the events. Most people have the thoughts and feelings! But You have the balls to write about it in such a way that only be described as "Pure Genius"......
Keep up the good work Andy!!
From A Big Fan... x
You know how you rail against the BNP in one of your fine poems? Are you layering multiple strands of self-deprecating irony in displaying a deep-seated misognystic streak that makes you to women what the BNP are to black people? Or were you being so ironic that even you hadn't picked up on that yet?
Keep poeting!
x
This is in response to the poem "Crohnies"......Andy I love this, my journals are filled with poems, about our experiences, and articles aplenty about the realities of the disease..........I love, love, love, the profound simplicity............this is wonderful..........thank you for sharing this, I so needed to read this. bc.
You inspire me, you know you do, so thankyou.
I truly love your work.
keep smiling.
"And God help the girl who is crying" . . . I love it. I foundsomething that cheered me up =] Love your work xxx

i have to comment about two of the Aberystwyth photographs. the beer bottle in the sand and the old ladies on the bench watching the view are fantastic. i thought they both were beautiful and had meaning.
bet you didn't think you sisters mate would love this did you.
love your work

Hi.. As I read through your story I couldn't help but have flashbacks of my own three week hospital stay... Granted no where near 3 months, but enough to leave a lasting impression. Hopefully many peope will read this and learn more about Crohn's, yes it's growing, but it's very far from being well known. Between that and it being an autoimmune disorder that jumps around, many people are misdiagnosed. Your story brought me to tears though because knowing that someone else feels the way you do and understands is an amazing feeling. I wish you the best and keep spreading the word <3
thought i would drop by and say hi Andy
oh and to see how things were going with you
my website has changed yet again with a new web address
followed by creating more art from my photos
which includes animations/screensavers etc etc
Andy,
I gotta roll for now, but just read your reviews for Rocky IV & Rocky Balboa, both of which I love, as I'm a fan like you. I'll make some comments on those and some of your other reviews, but just wanted to pass along that I think you're a gifted writer with a flair for expression.
Keep up the great work!
Mark

Hello Andy, I wanted to let you know that your tattoos and poetry are very inspiring. I just turned 18, and I'm getting ready for my first tattoo. I want it to surround my mother's best friend, Carolyn Clay Mercer, who passed almost 9 years ago. My first idea is a simple heart that has stiches across it and in each section is a different color in a crayon- style. And possibly, have it read 'Requiscat in Pace' which is 'Let them rest in peace' in Latin. This represents a lot for me. A short year after Carolyn died, my Pepe passed away. And just a year or two ago, I shared the same pain as you of losing a child. I would have been a mother at 16.
Our bodies are temples, and in our temples we create a timeline of the obsticles in which we face. Whether or not we've accomplished them is not in question, but the fact that we should never forget them. Soldiers, like my father, may share their scars with a purple heart, but the scars that people like you and me have will always remain at the bottom of our hearts. For me, that's where it's always stayed, at the bottom of my heart. I would like to learn how to wear my heart on my sleeve, and let the things that have happend to me sink in, and let me accept them.
There is a quote that I have always returned to in times when I still feel that emptiness in my tummy.
"Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come" - Rabindrath Tagore

What an ace website. You are a talented writer and drunken poetry texter (i save them in my outbox because i am a geek) and plus you love Ripley so we are not just pretending to be on the same wavelength. I wish you every luck with your choice of words in the future and hope to glimpse your frogs on the shelves in power hungry Waterstones or maybe a nice independent book shop I have set up where I just serve tea all day and let people read books for free. We'll have to stay in touch innit. Especially if I am off to Japan land. Bye bye for now
