Well, until now, I must have forgot how wonderful poetry is. I shed tears, giggled and smiled as I lost myself in the words; and those personal to me will forever touch my heart. I still have a signed copy, which I am very pleased about, and believe the writer has come along way since some of his earlier poems that I read. Yet again, he has inspired me to put pen to paper. This time to congratulate him on something worth keeping forever. I love the book, despite the tears it made me cry: it was like an emotional roller coaster. It confused me, yet made so much sense. I am never going to understand the author's experiences completely, but I reckon I have found my own personal meaning, so..... Thank you, Andy.

Very moving, heart waming, touching book! The author express' himself very well in a way that you get drawn in to his world. This is a book that you can read over and over again. The writer shows so much passion and emotion through his creative writing. A book not to miss out on!

I am not a poet and doubt very much that i would be able to attempt to bare my soul on paper and share my most personal experiences with aquaintences or even very close friends the way Andy has done. This book is full of extremely honest and moving experiences, some of which most of us have had a taste of ourselves and not had the creative outlet that Andy has designed for himself with which to work through these feelings in a positive way.Andy has touched upon rejection, loneliness, dissappointment in those around him and vulnerability amongst other things.I actually laughed out loud at some of Andy's sometimes shockingly quite jaw dropping descriptive offerings wether it was appropriate or not.I know Andy wouldn't mind! Given the fact that a lot of guys that i know and Andy will know have very strong ideas on how men are supposed to behave,i feel proud that Andy has chosen to be independant, stand up and show that he has feelings, ideas and opinions that many of the male population wouldn't dream of admitting to or exposing themselves to. I chose to buy my sister-in-law(a teacher) a copy of But Mother Knows, not only was she touched but is going to use the book for her A-level students! Wether you know Andy or not, this is an emotional read and will give you an insight into the mind of our friend, Andy.

'But, Mother Knows' is continuously a joy to read, with the author's raw emotion; it sets about painting the picture of one man's experience with various issues that we all come against in life through this creative outlet. I would definately pass this on to a friend safe in the knowledge that such good writing will be appreciated. My current favourite poem is 'There's a Buddharupa in My Back Garden'.
