'A Punishment Beating For The Mind'

brokenmindslive

"Broken Minds has got some hype shit," said Public Enemy's Professor Griff to describe this three-man Rap-core outfit from Wolverhampton. He be right. The appropriately-titled debut album A Punishment Beating For The Mind fuses Hardcore Punk, Hip-Hop, Metal and Industrial sounds (to name just a few), and is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Doom, the emcee, delivers some decent politically-charged rhymes over Ben Haystacks' chilling, metal guitar riffs; while DJ Moca executes some nice cuts and scratches at the backbone of the group. The style is so noncompliant that'll be a bit too much for some promoters to stomach, but the real heads will undoubtedly jump at this. Forget Linkin Park, this is straight-up raw.
