Activism.
Change begins with the individual. By opening the minds of community residents to a variety of new concepts, this can ultimately benefit society as a whole.
Transformational activism is about helping people examine their emotional reactions to social diversity, encouraging them to think creatively and develop their own aspirations, which they then will strive to fulfil.
A desire for positive change (i.e. change that will benefit both the individual and holistic society) is a gradual process, which requires commitment and patience. My activist groups attempt to persuade people to change their behaviour on a direct level.
It gives me a sense of satisfaction when I notice the individuals I work with growing in confidence after realising they have the inner power to express themselves openly and attain an understanding from their experiences; thus, developing a unique identity from their self-knowledge.
Rather than this being misconceived as a form of egotism, developing a personal identity is the necessity in inspiring our collective creativity.
Believe in our freedom to promote emotional well-being, whatever the physical situation may be. Click the links to the right of this page to visit the activist groups currently ongoing.
